Planting

Today at Enrich we went to plant flax and toi toi at the Waihopai River. We did this so that when it's raining and it gets all muddy then all of that mud won't go into the river and kill all of the fish in it. The flax and toi toi were just babies. First we had to dig up a little space to put in the little plant then we had to put garden mats around them so then the grass won't out grow the plant. Then we put sticks through the holes of the mat and into the soil and then put a plastic orange  wrapping thing around it to stop the pukekos and the other animals from pulling it out and eating it.  I  planted  21 toi tois and 11 flax bushes and just when I finished my last one we had to clean up and walk back to the bus and hop on and go home
