Last Day

"Oh no" I thought as I walked through the door of Enrich "It's the last day of the term" 

It was a jam-packed day with a busy start to the morning with chess. I lost against Sam and I thought I could take her (yeah, never judge a book by its cover).

But what I was most excited about was the Discovering our Past and Passion Project OF COURSE (but I thought I've talked too much about my passion project lately soooo I'll talk about my discovery task this time).

This week for our Discovery task we had to research two countries that are important to us. I chose Samoa and Holland.  (I 've only done Samoa and I'm going on to Holland soon).

"What have you learnt about yourself as a gifted individual?" Well your probably wondering "what is this girl talking about" well I'll tell you. That was one of the four questions we had to answer for our mid-year reports at Enrich.  I'm curious for what my report says and when I can get it. Anyway, I have recorded myself singing One Sweet Day and I sound pretty good.  I still have a few things to tweek but that's what practise is for. I have nearly learnt the whole song off by heart and I'm so pleased wth myself. Well I have to go now. See you later blogger fans!

Passion Project Time!!!!!!!!!!!!

As soon as I saw that we were doing our first session of Passion time I was bouncing of the walls in excitement because I knew exactly what I was doing and I wanted to start straight away. So that's exactly what I did. I warmed up my voice then I researched Mariah Carey for background research because I'm going to sing one of her songs (One Sweet Day) and I already know the first and second verse. I've been practising for 45 minutes and my lunges are about to burst. Did you know that Mariah Carey has sold over 80 MILLION albums over the years (that's a lot isn't it).  Well thats it from me. Are You A Perfectionist???

Let me ask you one simple question... Are you a perfectionist?? If you don't know what a perfectionist is it's a person that has to have everything neat, straight, tidy and well perfect. We had a test and we had to put random numbers in order from smallest to largest. Number 1 was the easiest. Number 2 wasn't that much harder but Numbers 3 to 7they were challenging ones and only two of us completed it. It was a test to see if you're a perfectionist or not. If you didn't complete it you will feel like you want to finish it in your own time and that's exactly what most people did, please take this test if you want to know if your a perfectionist or not.

Training Your Brain...

Boo Hoo!! Its the end of the term and that means .....no more Enrich for 2 weeks. I just can't believe it!!!


Anyway I'm here to talk about Enrich, not how I'm feeling. Today, we did a thing called brain training and it's basically just games for the brain. I bet you if you try these activities, you will be as sharp as a fox. Nah, just kidding. But if you want to try them out click on the link. Wuzzeling wonders

Can you solve the mystery? Can you figure it out? Can you put it in alphabetical order? The wuzzeling wonders.
The mystery of the alphabetical shapes. We started with box then it went circle but wait there's more there was a cone as well.

Your probably thinking "whats this girl talking about"? Well I'll tell you. For the Thinkers Key at Enrich I was with Nicola for the Wuzzles Key and we had to put the 20 different shapes in alphabetical order and I was first to finish then we had to get the what we call the stinker it was a horizontal alphabetical order and we had to put the letters in alphabetical order. I only got 6 out of 15 but I'm going to finish them at lunch they are really fun here's the one I did.  See if you can beat me. You only have five minutes. GO!!!!

GETTING BETTER

Hi everybody! How are you doing today? Good. Alright then lets get on with my blog.

Today was an amazing day. We learnt about heaps of things and my favorite was probably the Gifted individual thing with Nicola about LORDE. We had to tick all the scholarly habits we thought that she has used, and we found out that she had all 11 of them (for the people that don't know who LORDE  is - which I highly doubt - she is a really famous singer who is only 16 years old..... that's right folks... only 16 years of age) I discovered that I only use eight of them of my scholarly habits. I guess I can only get better and thats what I'm going to do right now. See you later.
